Rules and Regulations
(subject to minor changes)
1. Minimum age to enter this competition is 13 years old. This event is open to skiers and snowboarders.
2. Competitors age 13 - 17 MUST have a parent present at registration to read and sign a release. Faxes or pre-signed releases will not be accepted*.
3. Ski or snowboard helmets are required for all competitors during practice and competition.
4. No inverted maneuvers will be permitted during the Big Air or Rail Jam. No exceptions. Anyone attempting an invert will be disqualified from the event and excluded from any future Hunter Mountain competitions. Inverted maneuvers are permitted during the Quarter pipe competition.
5. Snowboarders and skiers will be judged independently of one another.
6. Registration is limited. There will be a very limited number of on-line pre-registrations accepted; on-line pre-registration holds your slot in the competition, and does not replace day-of-event registration.
7. Prizes will be awarded to all top finishers in each event (NO AGE RESTRICTION to win prizes). The Grand Prize trip to Catedral Alta Patagonia will be drawn from raffle entries submitted at the Telemet booth on Saturday and Sunday, and will be given to someone who has been in attendance (you do NOT have to compete to win the Grand Prize). You MUST BE PRESENT at the drawing (scheduled for Sunday afternoon around 5pm) to win the Grand Prize. Hunter Mountain employees and their families are not eligible to win the Grand Prize.
*All competitors will be required to read and sign this release on the morning of registration. In addition, competitors under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or legal guardian sign this junior supplemental release at registration on the morning of the the event. Adult releases may be printed and brought with you, or faxed to us at 518-263-4521. The signing of a Junior Supplemental Release must be witnessed by a Hunter Mountain staff member.
