2012 East Coast Police Winter Games
January 25 & 26, 2012
The Police Winter Games, in its 26th year represent a fun-filled competition of law enforcement personnel and guests throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. This two-day event brings together skiers and riders of all abilities competing in a giant slalom and slalom format. For those departments with three or more participants qualifying, a team award will be issued to the top three teams.
Proceeds of the event are donated to Journey Forward, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of those who have suffered a Spinal Cord Injury through an intense exercise program. Exercise is important to everyone and even more so to those who have suffered a Spinal Cord Injury.
ELIGIBILITY
The games are open to all active law enforcement officers, and retired officers who are fully vested and in good standing. GUESTS are welcome and may participate in all races & social events.
On-site lodging is available at the Kaatskill Mountain Club at reduced rates.
THE PARTICULARS
1) Competitors will race according to age & gender.
2) Females will race first, followed by Age starting wtih 70+
3) One course will be used for all races.
4) Snowboarders & Guest will each have an under 30 & 30 + Awards Category
5) The top three (3) Racers in each age category receive awards.
6) Team Awards will be comprised of racers who are sworn members of the same department and receive a salary/pension from the same agency/ dept. Both active and retired.
7) Guests will be integrated into the race by age groups.

Training Day with a USSA certified race coach. Reservations Required
Wednesday, January 25th

10:00 AM - GIANT SLALOM
3:00-5:00 PM - Awards, Cocktails, Prizes - Colonels Hall
7:00-10:00 PM - Hot Buffet/Cocktails at the New SLOPES at Tannersville Yacht Club

8:00-9:15 AM - Registration
9:15-9:45 AM - Course Inspection
10:00 AM - SLALOM
3:00-5:00 PM - Awards, Cocktails, Prizes - Colonels Hall
4:30 PM SHARP - Group Photo
7:00-10:00 PM - Hot Buffet/Cocktails at the New SLOPES at Tannersville Yacht Club
