The Hunter Mountain German Alps Festival always brings smiles to the faces of German-Americans and everyone else who attends. The good-time music is sure to get you on your feet... or at least tapping your feet. With infectious bands like the amazing Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra, a great time is almost guaranteed. Traditional German-American foods, Schuhplattler Dancers, plenty of vendors, plus activities for the kids. Please note that pets are not permitted on the festival grounds.

Jimmy Sturr
Jimmy's done it again.... another Grammy! We're proud to present to you the eighteen-time Grammy Winner Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra! Jimmy and his band constantly attract crowds of screaming, adoring fans wherever their travels take them. Their tremendous popularity has resulted not only in an impressive number of Grammy Awards, but also being voted "The #1 Polka Band in the country."
The band has an extensive road schedule each year, including several international trips annually. They have played seven sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall, four sold-out shows at Lincoln Center, and a sold-out show at The Palace of Culture in Warsaw, Poland, where the band received seven standing ovations. Die Fahrenbacher
Young and powerful, these three enthusiastic young musicians from the heart of beautiful Austria really know how to keep the mood up! With their wide range of instruments, from clarinet, trumpet and button box, to a more modern sound with keyboards, guitar and base guitar, the Fahrenbacher play at various events and festivities. die Schlauberger (dSb) is musical proof that a band can please just about everyone. dSb is a powerhouse of musical expertise whose very mission is "Keeping the Traditionalists on their Feet and the New Generation Interested." Performing festival standards to rock-and-roll-meets-alpine-power, they expend enough energy to light up not only the crowd, but the fairgrounds, too. dSb has announced the band will shoot live concert footage for their upcoming DVD/Movie at the Hunter Mountain German Alps Fest on August 8 & 9, 2009. dSb’s shows at the annual festival are always a “rock the tent” celebration, making the Hunter Mountain Alps Festival the perfect spot to capture the group’s powerhouse live show. dSb performs at Hunter Mountain Alps Fest at 2:00 pm, 4:15 and 8:30 on Saturday, August 8. The band hits the stage at 1:30 and 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 9. Live concert footage will be shot at ALL performances so get your dSb garb on and get on VIDEO!
Enzian Bavarian Band
The Enzian Bavarian Band has been in existence for over 3 years and plays a wide range of German music, from lively polkas and Rheinlanders to romantic ballads and waltzes, with many of the songs sung in the native tongue of the Bavarian Alps. The band is composed of professional musicians playing such instruments as the tuba, trumpet, drums, flugelhorn, clarinet, saxophone, and a 40-stringed harp-like instrument called a zither, an authentic Bavarian instrument. In addition, the band offers you a unique experience with performances on alphorns and the singing saw. The band strives to preserve the Bavarian heritage and traditional culture of Germany through its performances, and has entertained throughout the northeastern United States and Canada, and is a regular at the New York State Fair. The Mountain Brauhaus Band
The Mountain Brauhaus Band performs regularly in the festive atmosphere at The Crystal Brook Resort Mountain Brauhaus at Round Top, NY. Led by accordionist Gregory Reinwald, the trio plays authentic German Brauhaus music to the delight of those who want to sing along, dance or just sit back and relax and enjoy the evening. Saxophonist and clarinetist, Vic Meister, tubaist and bassist, Nick Pfeister, are both retired school music teachers, have spent a lifetime teaching and performing. The instrumental and vocal combinations of The Mountain Brauhaus Band's articulate German style is absolutely an authentic taste of Deutschland.
The Austrian Boys
The Austrian Boys Band was formed in 1974 by leader Frank Billowitz. The band has performed at many Oktoberfests and festivals, dances and other functions throughout the years. Frank has over 40 years experience in the music profession. Website
