54 New Energy-Efficient Snowguns to Blanket Hunter Mountain for 2011/12
Energy-efficient HKD SV10 Impulse snowguns to replace older pin guns
Hunter, NY – Hunter Mountain will be installing an additional 54 energy-efficient HKD SV10 Impulse snowguns arriving for winter 2011/12. These snowguns will replace older pin guns and add to the 150 new guns that were purchased last year. The new guns will further increase Hunter’s ability to make more snow and recover more quickly from inclement weather with far less reliance on energy.
These additional acquisitions are part of Hunter’s ongoing commitment to the environment and to lowering its power consumption, while still providing the best snowmaking in the world. The snowguns will be spread through K-27, Claire’s Way, Westway, and others. The snowguns join the ranks of Hunter’s 2011/12 improvements on the West Side, including a high speed quad, the Zephyr Express.
