2011-12 Seasonal Programs for Adults

Do you aspire to obtain a higher level of skiing? Or would you like to acquire a new skill, like skiing in the bumps? Do you just want to ski with other people who enjoy Hunter Mountain terrain? Hunter Mountain offers a number of Adult Seasonal Programs to allow you to achieve these goals. Starting in December and continuing through March, you will receive coaching from our top snowsport certified instructors at Hunter Mountain. Included in the programs is our annual adult banquet and annual seasonal race. These are incredible programs at an affordable price. Season passes not included.

All of our programs and camps will help you achieve the level of success you seek. Groups are split according to ability, terrain, and speed preference. Our professional, certified and patient staff await your call.

These programs are from 9:30am-2:30pm (with a one hour break for lunch at 11:30am) every weekend from December 17, 2011 through March 11, 2012.

All Adult Programs are for ages 18 and older. With plenty of personal attention and lots of mileage, participants enjoy learning in this fun environment while building skills and solid friendships. Groups are split according to ability, terrain, and speed preference.

Join one of our fun-loving Seasonal Co-Ed groups. Ski and ride with other adults with similar interests and abilities. Learn to develop your all-mountain skills and develop friendships with other men and women who love to ski Hunter Mountain.
Who: Skiers of Intermediate to Advanced Level. Groups are split according to ability.
When: Program meets from 9:30-11:30 and 12:30-2:30 every Saturday & Sunday. There is a one hour lunch time break.

Join the ladies in a season long adventure of learning and fun. This is your chance to socialize with women or improve your skills with other women. Great program for seasonal mothers as you can drop off your kids and then meet up with your group.

Adult Racing - Masters Race Program black-diamond-icon

Can’t get enough race training? Here is your chance as an adult to learn from our renowned racing program. Fine tune your racing skills in Slalom and Giant Slalom every weekend by using training areas designated specifically for racing and skill development. This is also a great opportunity for individuals to gear up for the Masters Racing circuit. Must be an advanced skier in good physical condition ready to rip any terrain Hunter has to offer.

Who: Skiers of Advanced Level.
When: Program meets from 9:30-11:30 and 12:30-2:30 every Saturday & Sunday. There is a one hour lunch time break.

Major Moguls black-diamond-icon 

Do you like the bumps? Join our Major Moguls program and develop the tactics and skills that it takes to run that zipper line, or at least not look silly to all your friends on Z Lift on Claire's Way during a beautiful spring day! Rock the moguls with the best of them with our top bump coaches. You will also develop your all around mountain skills and become a well-rounded skier.
Who: Skiers of Advanced Level.
When: Program meets from 9:30-11:30 and 12:30-2:30 every Saturday & Sunday. There is a one hour lunch time break.

Seasonal 2-Hour Co-ed Group blue-square-icon black-diamond-icon 

Are your kids starting to rip the mountain better than you? Are you interested in learning some new skills that you can apply in your free skiing? This program is for Seasonal Parents or for any adult interested in developing their skiing skills. 
Who: Skiers of Intermediate to Advanced Level. Groups are split according to ability.
When: Program meets from 9:30-11:30 every Saturday, except Holidays (Dec. 24, Jan 14, Feb. 18). 
How much? $249 (thru 5/1/11); $299 (thru 10/15/11); $349 (post 10/15/11) - Registration ends on December 31, 2011.

Midweek Co-ed Group - Wednesdays

Join our midweek seasonal program for adults every Wednesday. Socialize and ski with other adults with similar abilities who love the slopes during the week. At the same time develop your skills so you can enjoy the mountain with a pair of young legs. Program includes lunch each session and adult seasonal banquet at the end of the season.
Who: Skiers of Intermediate to Advanced Level. Groups are split according to ability.
When: Program meets from 9:30-2:30 every Wednesday, except Holidays.
How much? $299 includes lunch - Registration ends on January 11th, 2012

FAQ

Q: What time does the seasonal program start and end?
A: 9:30 – 11:30 for AM session, 12:30-2:30 for PM session, one hour lunch from 11:30-12:30

Q: What days does the seasonal program run?
A: Depending on the program you signed up, they generally run every Saturday & Sunday.

Q: What happens if coach is not present?
A: Substitute coach will be assigned or combined with different group of similar ability.

Q: What if I don’t meet the requirements?
A: Hunter Mountain offers a number of Adult program including Group and Private lessons.

Q: What is the seasonal race?
A: An annual competitive race of all seasonal program participants occurs at Hunter Mountain. Following the race awards and the end of the year party will transpire.

Q: Do I have to register for the Seasonal Race?
A: No, all participants enrolled in the program are automatically registered to compete in the annual seasonal race

Q: Does the seasonal program include a season pass?
A: No, the price of the program only includes instruction and does not include the seasonal pass. Click on the following link to purchase a season pass.

Q: What is the recommend equipment for the program?
A: All-mountain skis. Groups are setup for skill development that exposes participants to all the areas of skiing or snowboarding. Also required is warm enough clothing to assure child isn’t affected by the cold climate.

Q: Do I have to attend every class?
A: No, but it is highly recommended to attend as many classes as possibly to receive the full benefit of the program.
