Explorers

2011-12 Season

Ages 4-6 (skiers, Group Lessons)

What: The ultimate program for little ones! Explorers offers kid-friendly instruction and plenty of fun. Explorers programs include lift ticket, equipment and group lesson. Children are grouped according to age and our assessment of ability level. Actual on-snow session can vary with weather, snow conditions, class dynamics and stamina. Reservations are required. Who: Skiers ages 4-6 who are toilet trained, out of diapers, and whose parents will be on the premises during program time.

When: Single session and full day sessions available. Full day sessions include snack and lunch. Tickets and equipment may be obtained as early as 8am daily. Explorers may be dropped off as early as 8am (ground floor of Learning Center) no later than 9:30am or 12:30pm dressed, ticketed, with equipment for 10am and 1pm sessions. AM session ends at 12noon; the PM and full day sessions end at 3:00pm. Explorer Program runs through 3/25/2012 with appropriate terrain availability.

How much?:

$115: Full Day: (10am). Price includes lift, lesson, equipment, lunch and a snack.
$75: Single Session: Choose either the 10am or 1pm session. Price includes lift, lesson & equipment.
Helmet included with all packages

Where: The Explorer programs meet in the lower level of The Learning Center as early as 8am daily.

What your child needs: Please check out The Learning Center's Need To Know section on our website for information on what clothing your child will need to keep nice and warm and to help have a successful and fun day in our program!

Special Savings Packages: Get your six visit savings card for the Explorers Program! Available in the lower level of The Learning Center or by calling 1 800-HunterMtn ext. 2351. There are no restricted dates. This savings cards is valid only for the 2011-2012 season. Card expires on 3/25/2012. 

          Cost Of Packages:

• Six full-day visits: $575 
• Six single-session visits: $375 
  

*Hunter Mountain reserves the right to refuse a child due to age, communication barriers, or readiness for the program. Children should be prepared to ride lifts with other members of the public, Hunter Mountain staff or by themselves. Hunter Mountain does not refund money for children who do not want to be on snow and are in our care.

Please note: If your child is experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please refrain from bringing them into our program.  If they should suddenly develop any flu-like symptoms while in our care, our staff will notify you to come pick them up.

Reservations for children's programs are REQUIRED.  Please book now for holiday periods. Walk-ins may be limited on select weekends and holidays.  Call 800-HunterMtn ext. 2351, or on property come to the Lower Level of The Learning Center. 

Reservation and Cancellation Policy:

Full payment is required when booking your reservation. If reservation is cancelled at least 72 hours prior to reservation date, a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee will be issued.

Within 72 hours of your reservation date, we will try to accommodate your future reservation request or a voucher will be issued.

If reservation is not cancelled, no refund or voucher will be issued.
