Hunter Mountain and the surrounding community together offer a variety of winter activities that can act as the perfect substitute to skiing and snowboarding!


 

On-Mountain Activities

 

Scenic Skyride

Our Scenic Skyride features our six-passenger Kaatskill Flyer detachable chairlift. This state-of-the-art lift will take you in comfort to the 3,200 foot summit of Hunter Mountain's skiable terrain. Learn More.

4x4 Off-road Adventures

Disc Golf

Open for the summer, we have 18+ holes of challenging play, with everything from wide open cross-slope throws to tight, wooded shots, and some incredible long, downhill throws. Learn More.

 


Snowtubing

NEW!! Zombie Hunter Wars


Zombies have taken over and we need your help at Hunter Mountain! Bring your friends and family to help save the human race in this fast paced, zombie-filled, end-of-the-world adventure. This theatrical, interactive experience will have you climb aboard custom Zombie Hunter Attack Vehicles to join forces with our highly trained soldiers. The goal: eliminate the live (and not so alive) zombies via specially modified radioactive paintball guns on this Epic Ride through an apocalyptic town over-run with the UN-DEAD! Cross Country Skiing

Mountain Trails Cross Country Ski Center - A family adventure, 35K groomed, track-set, marked and patrolled, winter woodland trails in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. Arts and Culture


The region is packed with art galleries, including those found in Hunter and the nearby village of Woodstock. Groups can enjoy a variety of music and cultural festivals hosted in the area. Architectural landmarks including covered bridges and historic homes such as Cedar Grove, the home of Hudson River Art School founder Thomas Cole, and Olana, the home of Frederic Church.Shopping and Antiquing
The area features nearly 50 antique shops and galleries, all within a short drive of the Kaatskill Mountain Club. There are also dozens of local artisans and craftspeople.

 

Baseball Hall of Fame and Museums


Area museums cover a wide range of interests! Cooperstown, NY and the National Baseball Hall of Fame are 90 minutes from Hunter Mountain. Art museums include the Fennimore Art Museum, with its Native American and American exhibits. Transportation buffs will enjoy several options, including the Empire State Railway Museum and the Hudson River Maritime Museum. And that’s just a small sampling!
