Operational Update: 7/3/20*

We have some last-minute news to share around the opening of Hunter Mountain. Due to an unforeseen issue, we are unable to open our Scenic Skyride as previously announced. We want to thank our guests for their patience as we work through this and we look forward to welcoming guests back to Hunter Mountain when we are able. We will announce our opening in the coming weeks and you can check back right here for updates. We hope you’ll enjoy the 4th of July weekend as you explore everything the Catskills have to offer.

Our Scenic Skyride features our six-passenger Kaatskill Flyer detachable chairlift. This state-of-the-art lift will take you in comfort to the 3,200-foot summit of Hunter Mountain. From there, you can enjoy amazing views of the high peaks of the northern Catskills. On a clear day, in the distance, you'll see the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts and the Green Mountains of Vermont beyond New York's beautiful Catskill Mountain peaks that surround you.

Click below for a live view of the beautiful surroundings at the summit!
