End of Week Operational Update: January 13th, 2019

Hey there skiers and riders! Can you believe all the exciting developments we have had so far this week? As we predicted in our last operational update, our snowmakers have been working around the clock and have been absolutely killing it around the mountain. Since this past Wednesday, we have made new snow on over half of our currently open terrain and that is just the beginning. In total, we estimate that we have made over three and half feet of snow in just these last 4 days. All of this hard work has paid off as conditions across the mountain are phenomenal!

At this time, our snowmaking plan for this upcoming week is to shift our focus towards expanding new terrain on Hunter East including West Side Glide, Rip Van Winkle and possibly even Central Park. After this terrain is sufficiently covered with snowmaking, we will shift back to the main face of the mountain and allocate the tremendous power of our snowmaking system to hammer one trail at a time from the summit.

It also seems that Mother Nature is a bit jealous of how much snow our snowmakers have produced and is expected to give us a major showing of her own. Next weekend we could see the first major snow storm of the season with early accumulation projections of up to a foot and a half by the end of the weekend!

With fresh man made snow down and a huge blast of natural snow on the way, now is the best time to take advantage of online ticket prices ahead of this upcoming MLK Weekend!
