Opening day is this Saturday!

Hello skiers and riders! After much anticipation and boundless excitement, it is our pleasure to announce that opening day for 2018-19 season at Hunter Mountain is officially scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, November 17th, 2018.

With substantial snowmaking temperatures in the forecast, our snowmaking team has been able to make considerable snow top to bottom! At this time we are currently making snow from the summit to the base on the main face of the mountain on Hellgate, Broadway, Kennedy Drive, Minya Konka, Lower Crossover, and Mossy Brook as well as on Central Park North and Gramercy Park on Hunter East. On top of that, Mother Nature will potentially drop up to a foot of fresh snow Thursday into Friday.

We will have a better idea of trail and lift statuses tomorrow or Friday – please stay tuned right here to our Snow Report for updates as they become available. Our operating plan as of now is to open for skiing and riding this Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 AM – 4 PM after which we will close for Monday and Tuesday with plans to reopen Wednesday for the season!

Lift tickets will be available at the window for $59 Saturday and Sunday with the option to upgrade your ticket to a 3X for only an additional $90 so you can enjoy the season 2 more times! Food and beverage services will be available from The Marketplace, Santini’s Pizza, and the Main Bar. Van Winkle’s in the Kaatskill Mountain Club will also be open for Dinner. Rooms at the Kaatskill Mountain Club are still available, and the earlier you book for this weekend, the lower the rate! Click here to book your room now.

We are looking forward to seeing you on the slopes in just a few days! Again, please stay tuned to social media and right here on our Snow Report for the most accurate information on Saturday’s Opening Day.

See you soon!
