Snowmaking Operations & Forecast Outlook: January 25, 2019

Hello there skiers and riders! Beginning last night we saw the return of more seasonal conditions with temperatures falling below freezing and a fresh coating of snow courtesy of Mother Nature. This inch of snow was well received by our grooming teams and has given our snowmakers a head start on their efforts ahead of this weekend.

Very early this morning our snowmakers suited up and hit the mountain to turn on our snowguns and take advantage of these cold temperatures and conditions. As of this post, we are currently making snow from summit to base down the Main Line on Hellgate, Broadway and more. Right now our current plan is to resurface as much of our terrain as possible ahead of and through this weekend. Remember to check our Snow Report daily, both once in the morning and once in the evening, to get all the latest developments from the mountain each day.

Looking ahead in the forecast, the weather for this upcoming weekend looks promising with partly sunny skies on Saturday and the potential for some light evening snow showers on Sunday. Temperatures are forecast to remain cold through at least next weekend and our snowmakers will certainly be capitalizing on this opportunity. We are also keeping a close eye on a possible upcoming weather event that is currently forecast to reach our area next Tuesday. At the time of this post, it looks as though we could potentially see some new snow with current accumulation projections between 5-8 inches. If this event becomes more certain, we’ll be sure to let you know!

That’s all for now, we’ll see you on the slopes!
