Weekend Update | Welcome to March!
Hey there skiers and riders! It is hard to believe we are already in the first weekend of March and this season has been so much fun that time has just been flying by. We hope you have been enjoying skiing and riding this season as much as we have and can’t wait to keep the fun going for the remainder of the season.
The end of February also unfortunately means the end of our snowmaking season, but that doesn’t mean you have to worry about time left to enjoy skiing and riding. There is still so much of the season left ahead of us with the entire month of March and over half of April still to come. Before we shut the guns off for good this season, our snowmakers worked around the clock, putting down an incredible amount of snow that will keep the slopes in ideal shape for the remainder of winter into early spring.
With nearly 75% of the mountain available for skiing and riding, there has never been a better time to look forward to hitting the slopes. Mother Nature is also doing her part to keep the season going strong alongside all of the recent snow produced by our snowmakers. This weekend we are expecting two snow events which have the potential to deliver us up to half a foot of new snow by the end of the weekend.
Looking ahead, you can expect this snow to stick around for quite some time as temperatures are predicted to stay well below freezing for the foreseeable future. This is welcome news as we will need all the snow we can get to ensure conditions remain ideal for our guests attending any number of our upcoming events throughout the month of March and beyond.
ICYMI: This upcoming weekend will we be honoring our Active Military, Veterans and their families through our Military Appreciation Weekend. Our troops have done more for us than we can ever thank them for. In an effort to show our appreciation and gratitude, we and the Peak Resorts family are happy to offer an exclusive military discount on winter lift tickets the weekend of March 9th & 10th. This weekend deal includes $5 lift tickets for active duty military while family and veterans can enjoy 50% off their lift tickets as well. As if this weekend of appreciation couldn’t get any better, $5 out of every military appreciation ticket sold will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans of the military.
