On-Mountain Activities


Zipline Adventures

Scenic Skyride
Our Scenic Skyride features our six-passenger Kaatskill Flyer detachable chairlift. This state-of-the-art lift will take you in comfort to the 3,200-foot summit of Hunter Mountain. From there, you can enjoy amazing views of the high peaks of the northern Catskills. On a clear day, in the distance, you'll see the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts and the Green Mountains of Vermont beyond New York's beautiful Catskill Mountain peaks that surround you. The beauty of the Catskills is legendary. This rugged countryside is crisscrossed with miles and miles of trails, ranging from the well-maintained network in and around North-South Lake to the rugged trails accessing the high peaks. These are the trails, the difficult, steep climbs to the weathered summits that make hiking the Catskills so popular. Views like this are numerous, and for the most part, easily accessible. 4X4 Off-Road Adventures
We've teamed up with our good friends at Northeast Offroad Adventures in Ellenville, NY to provide the best possible experience for our off roaders along with an expert & I4WDTA certified crew to assist you to along the trails! Fly Fishing

Disc Golf
We have 18+ holes of challenging play with everything from wide open cross-slope throws to tight, wooded shots, and some incredibly long, downhill throws. There is no charge to play, and we have a variety of discs available for sale in our Pro Shop located downstairs in the Base Lodge. Scorecards can be picked up at the main office in the upstairs of the base lodge or at the mailbox located just to the right of the Kaatskill Flyer chairlift just shy of the 1st tee box.

The legendary beauty of the Catskills makes the perfect backdrop for a round of golf. The mountains offer challenging courses unlike those found in the flatlands, adding another dimension to the game. Horseback Riding

Bailiwick Ranch/ Catskill Equestrian - Open all year. Horseback riding, scenic trails with mountain trail rides. All day mountain trips, overnight camping trips, pony rides, petting zoo. English and Western riding instructions.
Arts and Culture
The region is packed with art galleries, including those found in Hunter and the nearby village of Woodstock. Groups can enjoy a variety of music and cultural festivals hosted in the area. Architectural landmarks including covered bridges and historic homes such as Cedar Grove, the home of Hudson River Art School founder Thomas Cole, and Olana, the home of Frederic Church.
Shopping and Antiquing
The area features nearly 50 antique shops and galleries, all within a short drive of the Kaatskill Mountain Club. There are also dozens of local artisans and craftspeople.
Baseball Hall of Fame and Museums
Area museums cover a wide range of interests! Cooperstown, NY and the National Baseball Hall of Fame are 90 minutes from Hunter Mountain. Art museums include the Fennimore Art Museum, with its Native American and American exhibits. Transportation buffs will enjoy several options, including the Empire State Railway Museum and the Hudson River Maritime Museum. And that’s just a small sampling!
