Junior Development
Lessons Offered: Ski or Snowboard
Ability Levels: Intermediate, Advanced
Ages: Children 7-12
Join one of our many development programs for Intermediate to Advanced skiers or riders. At this stage groups are beginning to become more focused on developing their all mountain skills. Some of our groups focus specifically on Alpine Development, Mogul/Freestyle Development, or are simply grouped with other children who they enjoy skiing or riding with all season long. Participants should feel comfortable on blue terrain (Kennedy or Belt Parkway). Groups formed based on past years of experience in the program as well as ability and group dynamics.

Ages: Teen 13-17
Advanced skiers or snowboarders, must be comfortable on all single black diamond terrain. This program serves as the first step in gaining the skills necessary to become an instructor, coach, or patroller at Hunter Mountain.

Mighty Mights
Lessons Offered: Ski Only
Ability Levels: See Details
Ages: Children 5-6
Skiers who are able to at least perform the wedge, stopping wedge and make controlled turns on green terrain. Minimum requirement is to ski comfortable on all green terrain (Mossy Brook included). Groups will be formed with other kids similar in skill. All Mighty Mights must be able to independently load the chair lift. It may be necessary for Mighty Mights to ride the lift with an adult from the general public or with another Hunter Mountain Instructor during class.
