CLOSED FOR THE SEASON
Hello skiers and riders! While we are sad to say goodbye to the 2018-19 season, we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who joined us during our 140 days of skiing and riding!
This season began earlier than previous seasons with our first day nearly a full week before our target of Thanksgiving weekend. Through November & December, Mother Nature took us for a ride with wild temperature swings and sporadic snowfall. Following the opening of our brand new Hunter North terrain on Christmas Eve, the winter season finally seemed to settle in with blasts of cold temperatures lasting through January. Over the course of January & February our snowmaking teams took every opportunity to make snow and produce significant base depths across our terrain which have since brought us across the finish line to this weekend.
This season we saw new & returning events, weekend après, live music, craft beer showcasing, snow tubing, and so much more. Creating the best environment possible for skiing, riding, snow tubing, and fun on and off snow activities is what we strive for every season because we believe it is the best way to get outside to create winter memories with family and friends that will last a lifetime. Hunter Mountain is fortunate to have guests who choose us year over year. Your loyalty to the mountain and our culture is what motivates us to keep improving with each new season! Of course, our season wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our mountain operations teams and all of our staff across the mountain, including snowmakers, grooming, building maintenance, lift operations, ski patrol and our entire staff.
While the season is over at Hunter Mountain, remember that if you have your Peak Pass, you can continue to make turns at our sister resorts to the north! These include Mount Snow, Attitash (closed mid-week) & Wildcat, which have not yet announced definitive closing dates. If you haven’t picked up your pass for next season yet, put only $99 down by April 30th to secure your pass for the 2019-20 season and use it through the remainder of this season as well!
Purchasing your Peak Pass early not only guarantees you’ll be locked in at the lowest rates available, but also means that you can take advantage of numerous summertime benefits! These include free Scenic Skyrides at Hunter Mountain, Zip Line discounts, and so much more. Click here for more info and to buy your 2019-20 Peak Pass now!
Although the winter season is over, we still have so much to look forward to in the coming months. Our festival season kicks off at the end of this month with the 22nd annual TAP® New York Craft Beer & Food Festival, featuring over 125 New York State breweries pouring over 400 NYS beers! Discounted tickets are still available online in advance. In June, Taste of Country Music Festival returns to the mountain with headliners Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town and more.
Starting the last weekend in September, join us for four FREE weekends of Oktoberfest, always a fun event for the whole family! Throughout spring, summer and fall, we’ll also enjoy Scenic Skyrides, Zip Line Tours, Off-road Adventures, Fly Fishing, Disc Golf and Hiking…not to mention one of the greatest adventures we have to offer – saying “I Do” at the summit of Hunter Mountain!
We hope to see you soon!
