Snow Report

Current Conditions

Good afternoon Skiers and Riders,

Today was a great day to celebrate the end of our 2017-18 season! The snow was soft, the sun was shining and the party on the Main Deck was a blast!

If you have your Peak Pass you can continue to make turns at Mount Snow (open through 4/22) and Wildcat, which has not yet announced a closing date. Haven’t picked up your pass for next season yet? Now is the time. Put only $99 down by April 30th, and you can use your pass at our open sister resorts through the remainder of their season! Securing your pass early also means that you can take advantage of summer benefits including free Scenic Skyrides at Hunter Mountain, Zip Line discounts, and much more. Click here for more info and to buy your 2018-19 Peak Pass.

As we say goodbye to this season, we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who joined us during these 145 days of skiing and riding! Looking back, our season began with cold weather and snow which allowed us to get an early start and open before Thanksgiving. Fast forward to March, and we were blessed with what many called Miracle March as we were gifted with over four feet of snow! That, along with cold temperatures moving forward, allowed us to extend our season one week later than usual. The days in between included powder days, new and returning events, après parties, snow tubing, and experiences that confirm why we do what we do – because skiing, riding, and snow tubing are the best ways to get outside during the winter season and create a lifetime of memories with friends and family.

We at Hunter Mountain are fortunate to have guests who choose us year over year. Your loyalty is what motivates us to keep going and strive toward creating the best experiences possible! Of course we couldn’t have done it without our mountain operations teams who continuously ensured conditions were maintained for as long as possible, which is quite a feat considering a few lemons Mother Nature handed us this season. As the saying goes, when life (or Mother Nature) hands you lemons, make lemonade – which is what we did by continuing to have fun and persevere!

Although this winter season is over, we still have so much to look forward to. Our festival season kicks off at the end of this month with TAP® New York Craft Beer & Food Festival, featuring 125+ New York State breweries pouring over 400+ NYS beers! Discounted tickets are still available online in advance. In June, Mountain Jam and Taste of Country Music Festival come to town followed by the Pursuit Series, which we will be hosting for the first time ever at the end of June. Starting in September, join us for four FREE weekends of Oktoberfest, which are always a fun event for the whole family! Throughout the spring, summer and fall, we’ll also enjoy Scenic Skyrides, Zip Line Tours, Off-Road Adventures, Fly Fishing, Disc Golf and Hiking…not to mention one of the greatest adventures we have to offer – saying “I Do” at the summit of Hunter Mountain!

Lastly, and perhaps what we’re MOST excited for this summer: our Hunter North expansion!  Construction has already begun and soon we’ll be cutting 5 trails and installing a new six passenger high-speed chairlift! Our crews will be working every day this spring, summer and fall to ensure Hunter North is ready for skiing and riding during the 2018-19 Season! You can keep up to date with the latest details on the Hunter North project by following our social media pages and our website blog.

We’re looking forward to sunshine and warmth during our upcoming festivals, events, and adventures!

We hope to see you soon.
